  • Brian Clinton- self advocate
    • Brian just graduated college 
    • Developing self-advocate 
  • Sarah Sadowski from NH Leadership – 
    • Thank you, Audrey Gerkin, – recognized the Audrey Gerkin scholarship to NH Leadership
    • Sarah explained that the Leadership Series is a 9-month training series focusing on developing advocacy skills to make a difference in the community and on with policy makers
    • Sarah explained the cohort’s home group, action group, and legislative components to the series.
  • Secretary’s Report
    • March 20, 2024, Meeting Minutes draft sent.  
    • Minutes will be voted on in our next meeting 
  • Membership (Karen Livernois)
    • April expense report reviewed
    • Finance meeting with Community Partners 
      • Discussed annual budget and funds carried over to next budget year. 
    • Josh Hilliard – position change and will no longer be our insurance member but will stay on the council as a parent member.   Looking forward to working with Jennifer Smith to fill open positions. 
    • MGH Complex Care Clinic
      • New contact interested in participating more.  More to come.
    • DHMC Complex Care contact Dr. Plotnik – Special Medical Services contact Dr. McGonagle.
  • Council Director Update
    • Updates on Annual Event Planning
      • Event 7/11 from 5-7pm
      • Eventbrite site is open for participant registration
      • Still looking for sponsorships and in-kind donations
        • Received Fisher Cat tickets and Storyland passes
      • Door prize – raffle for door prize to be given if you fill out survey at registration
      • Event planning meetings held on Saturdays.  Discussing crafts, characters, food.
    • Please nominate for Champion Awards and spread the word!
      • Flyer created for award nominations
    • Update on MCH teamwork
      • Still working – structured around needs assessment 
      • Families in transition
      • Stakeholder meeting coming up in July
    • NH Gives
      • 24 hour fundraising campaign for NH non profits
      • June 11 5pm 
      • Anyone from council can register to help fundraise.
  • Agency Report (Dee Dunn)
    • Dee took a moment to acknowledge the passing of colleague and longtime friend, Sue Moore.  The council took time to share the deep impact Sue had for the state over the past 30 years.  Sue will be deeply missed by many. 
    • Healthcare Coordination Contracts
      • Discussed several regions are moving forward while others are still having meetings and looking into options to make sure regions are covered.
    • Title IV Needs Assessment discussed
      • Discussed the values that should be looked at with the needs assessment
      • Discusses ways to reach more community members – noted that 2018 mail response was high
      • Discussed flagging existing survey and asking to join efforts by adding questions pertaining to chronic health conditions
  • Policy Focus (Leah Stagnone)
    • Leah provided an update to some relevant bills that have crossed over to the opposite legislative body in April
      • HB1088 and SB355-FN signed by Governor 
      • SB403 Executive Session 5/13
