Annual Report 2021
Promoting Organized Assessment
After developing and circulating a Request for Proposal (RFP), a comprehensive Needs Assessment was started in collaboration with Community Health Institute/JSI. This year long in depth collection of quantitative and qualitative data will look inside the needs of the New Hampshire families caring for children with chronic health conditions. It will inform and include recommendations for future efforts by the Council. These results are also being used to assist the Title V redesign for the state.
Increasing Awareness
An RFP was developed and a contract signed for the overhaul of the council’s current website with FirstTracks. This will allow the council to more effectively communicate with the public and its members. In the meantime, the council generated awareness in other ways during a historic pandemic. Audrey Gerkin, the Council Administrator spoke virtually at the Institute on Disability’s Advanced Leadership Series session on Health Equity.
Celebrated the Resiliency of Educators and Providers
The Champion Awards were given to multiple educators and a school nurse who went above and beyond to service children with chronic health conditions during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
